Adoption Procedure
Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary operates by appointment only and is not currently open to the public. If you’re interested in adopting or fostering one of our animals, please complete our online application form by clicking ‘Register Interest’ on their individual profile page or you can send an email to info@hollyhedge.org.uk.
Before applying, please consider the specific needs of the dog or cat you’re interested in. For example, some animals may need to be the only pet in the household or to live in an adult-only home. Please be sure that you can meet these requirements before submitting your application. Once we receive your form, a member of our rehoming team will contact you.
After we complete the necessary checks, including a ‘virtual’ home check, we’ll invite you to the sanctuary to meet the animal you’re interested in. Our team will guide you through the rest of the adoption or fostering process, which is outlined below.
Our rehoming team is available to answer phone calls and emails seven days a week, but please note at times we can be very busy. We aim to respond to all inquiries as promptly as possible.
Each adoption and foster situation is handled on an individual basis. We deeply care about the well-being of our animals, and while we’re eager to find them their forever homes, we must ensure that the match is right. If an animal is returned to the sanctuary it can be very upsetting for them and for you.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.
